Over the summer of 2003, the song "Act A Fool" by Ludacris topped the charts in Eastern Massachusetts. One day, while thinking of Trevor Cruikshank, the words "Eat Some Food" were uttered. What followed was the production of, quite possibly, the greatest song ever created.

This song was co-written by Justin Boudrow and Douglas Hammond during a car ride to Maine. Upon their return to Massachusetts, Justin and Doug performed this song for various and sundry persons before rapping it for me, Andrew Yaksic, in Justin's house one fateful July evening.

When I suggested that I could help them record it, I had no idea what would follow.

One July afternoon, using only a Dell Latitude X200, a Sony microphone, Maxell headphones, and Microsoft Sound Recorder, Doug and Justin (or D-Unit and Juice in the rap world) rapped the track while I recorded. I then took an instrumental version of "Act A Fool", and using DC-Art Millennium Edition, mixed the song in 13 hours.

The song quickly became a hit. Everyone who heard it loved it, including Trevor Cruikshank, the inspiration and target of the song.

The lyrics and production notes can be found here. I recommend checking this out while listening to the song, as it provides much insight.
